Ritchie Thwarts Rochester, 10-0
|
George Ritchie was in a mood to talk following the Kinsale Fisherman contest against the Rochester River Sharks, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the River Sharks, 10-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Ritchie said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The left-hander blanked Rochester on a 5-hitter, allowing 1 walk and racking up 8 strikeouts.
This year, Ritchie has 8 wins and 3 losses and a 2.16 ERA.
