Luke Spradley had a big 2-run home run for the Beavers in the top of the fifth inning. With Portland leading 3-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a slider from Steve Wilkerson, who finished 3rd in the AL in ERA with 3.26 in 2048, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Beavers on top, 5-0.
