There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget.

Jerry Neff of the Nephi Threshers had one such moment at Ballpark of Flint, when he went 5 for 5 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Nephi succumbed to defeat, 6-5, to the Flint Coney Dogs.

"This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 23-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game."

Jerry Neff singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Roberto Chamorro in the 9th.

Neff on the season is hitting .394 with 7 home runs. His stats include 27 RBIs and 28 runs scored.
