Super Volcano Collect 7-6 Win Over Pizzas
Detroit second baseman Adrian Ressler was sensational. He went 3-4 with 2 doubles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Yellowstone beat the Pizzas, 7-6, in 12 innings. Reliever Fidel Nunez picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Vance Niec took the loss. Yellowstone, now 10-3, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 12th, 25-year old first baseman Ricardo Bermudez had a chance to be the hero. Detroit pitcher Julio Diaz wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Bermudez hit a sacrifice fly. The Super Volcano had themselves a thrilling win.

"We couldn't have scripted it any better," Bermudez said in his postgame press conference.
