Memphis Reliever Currell Will Retire
Wednesday, April 14th , 2049
After what he called a "long and rewarding" career in professional baseball, Bob Currell has announced he will retire.

The Memphis Chicks reliever said it wasn't an easy decision to make, but this season will be his last and he's now "content" with his choice to walk away at age 39.

Taking the mound 341 times in his career, Currell has compiled an ERA of 4.18 with 46 saves. He has tossed 464.2 innings with 453 strikeouts and 151 free passes. Opponents have hit .263 against him. He has a won-lost record of 28-28.
